It is time for another fabulous Fancy Fold Blog Hop and this month we are focusing on the Z Fold Flap Card. This is a super fun fold and very easy to do. Make sure you check out all the other cards the rest of the design team have come up with, I am sure you are going to love them all.
If you have never had a go at making a Z Fold Flap Card before (like me) then you defiantly have to give it a go. It is very easy to do and has such a wow factor to it when opened. For today’s share, I decided to use the Moon Baby stamp set, the images in this set are just so stinkin cute and I wanted another excuse to play with my watercolor pencils again lol.
I thought it would be fun to make the little umbrella a little more 3D so I stamped it on scrap, coloured, cut out and then popped a dimensional in the centre and glue dots around the edges before adhering to the card.
The front flap tucks in underneath the little banner on the left side, it just holds it closed. This is what the card looks like when it is semi-open.
And this is what it looks like when it is fully open, pretty cool aye.
The left-hand side of the card is a z-fold and the right-hand side is a flap fold which makes it so much fun. Here is a side view of the card if you are unsure what I mean.
For some more inspiration make sure you pop on over and visit the rest of the design team and check out their fabulous card ideas, you can do this by clicking on the next button below. Let’s start by looking at the gorgeous card Monica Gale has come up with this month.
