Hi everyone, this time I decided to use Stampin’ Up! Vivid Vases stamp set for the Stamping and Blogging Sketch Challenge. Here is my card for SB73. I used the Burlap Ribbon for the background banner and pulled the threads out from the bottom and top of the ribbon to create a frayed look.
I used a post it note to mask the vases and then lightly sponged the background using Soft Sky ink. I coloured the flowers using the Regal Markers and then painted on some Dazzling Details to add a bit of sparkle. I finished the card off by putting Crystal Effects on the vases to give them a little dimension.
I stamped a couple of the vases on the inside of the card by colouring the images I wanted with a black marker. I huffed on the stamp to re-moisten the ink before stamping on the card.
Here is a photo of this weeks sketch that I designed my card from.
Lets go and see what all the other ladies on the Design Team have come up with this week.

Beautiful card! The Crystal Effects adds so much to those little vases and your burlap ribbon looks fabulous!
It is nice to see the vivid vases set used, I had almost forgotten about this beautiful set, pretty card x
just lovely Patrice, I love that you used burlap ribbon for the banner, great take on the technique and those little vases done in the crystal effects are just lovely!
Love the way you did the burlap ribbon.
Great job on the masking and I love the crystal effects. Very pretty card. Hugs from Shelagh.
Pretty card Patrice ! The Crystal effects touch is perfect on these vases, and I love the way you used the ribbon !
What a great idea – adding the crystal effects. Makes the vases come alive!
Those vases with Crystal Effects look fabulous Patrice. Love the way you have used the burlap all fringed too. Sorry it took me a while to get to leaving a comment; last week was last week of term and things were full on!
