Valentines Theme Blog Hop #DT04

The theme for this month’s Blog Hop is going to be Valentines.  I don’t know about you but it is one of my favourite times of the year (a day all about love) because I get to spoil the ones I love.

I decided it would be fun to make a small matching gift to go with the card this time around.  I must admit the small gift was inspired by a make n take that I recently did at Jacques Christmas Team Party.

Don’t you just love the cute little envelope, I know I do and the matching stamp set is just the cutest as well.  I did a silly thing so was not able to use the matching stamp set but I think the Bloomin Love stamp set worked just as well.  You may be wondering what I did (blush) well I guess the excitement got to me when placing my order and somehow I just ordered the dies and not the complete bundle. Believe me, I kicked myself as I would have saved an additional 10% if I DID order the bundle lol.

I cut some of the side of the little note that is inside the envelope so that I could place it on an angle.  Adding the little hearts on the note tied it in perfectly with the lollies.  Now for the fun part of the little tag topper, you can open it to reveal a hidden message inside.

I used a couple of extra products on the matching card and stepped it up a little.  I used the Happy Heart embossing folder to create a little texture down one side and added bling by using the little Metallic Enamel (heart) Shapes.

Lastly this is what the inside of the card looks like.
