It felt so good to finally be able to get back into my craft room, it has not been an option up until now so I was def having withdrawal symptoms lol. Anyway enough about me, let me tell you about the card I designed for this weeks Stamping and Blogging Sketch Challenge. I love this weeks sketch and decided it was the perfect layout for the card I wanted to create for my lovely hubby for Valentines day. Here is my card for SB88.
The letters and little heart were made using the the new Alphanumeric Mold and Simply Pressed Clay. I found the easiest way to pop the letters out is by using my Embossing Buddy and thumping some powder in the mold before putting the clay in. If you want to add Rhinestones, Pearls etc, make sure you gently press it into the clay image before putting them aside to dry for a while. I used the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack and tools to pierce the holes along the top of the banner and then hand stitched them with white cotton. When the letters and heart were finally dry, I coloured them in using my Stampin’ Write Markers. I then adhered the heart and letters on using the Multipurpose Liquid Glue, a lot of other adhesive don’t work.
Don’t you just love the little Happy Hearts Embossing Folder that I used on the white background piece of card, it is just one of the many fantastic items that have been released in the latest Occasions Catalogue. I wanted to add a bit of colour to the base card so I did this by using the edge of my inkpads, I hope you like it.
Here is a photo of this weeks sketch that I designed my card from.
