Stamp in black and color Blog Hop 101

Hi everyone, back again with another fabulous Technique 101 Blog Hop, this month’s technique we are focusing on stamp in black and color with markers.

I don’t know about you but when I colour with my markers I always find it nice and relaxing 🙂 I guess it brings back the memories of when I was little and I would spend hours colouring in with my Mum.  OK so rather than making a full-size card this month I decided to make 2 small gift cards instead, as they are always handy when you want to give a small gift like a box of chocolates.

I stamped the anchor using basic black archival ink I and coloured the image in using Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate markers (sold in the colour family packs) and finished the image off by adding some Clear Wink of Stella. 

I then repeated the same process but this time used the tools stamp 🙂

I thought the background of the card looked a little plain so I used the side edge of the marker and swiped it across the base card.

Whisper White Thick Card measurements
– Base 16cm x 10cm (scored in half at 8cm)
– Card front 7cm x 5cm
Basic Black Card measurements
– 7.4cm x 5.4cm – mat for card front
