Welcome to our Totally Techniques Blog Hop where a few of my lovely friends from around the world and I share projects we have all made using the same technique.
This Month we are doing the Shaving Foam Technique
My daughter was so excited when I got out the shaving foam and headed on out to the workshop to start creating, she was right behind me and ready to get inky lol. The Shaving Foam Technique is not the cleanest one to do but the end results are always so worth it, it is fun wiping off the foam to reveal what pattern you have created, it is always a mystery until the foam has gone. For this week’s challenge I decided to use the Balloon Celebration Bundle, it includes the Stamp Set and matching Balloon Punch and the exciting news is when you purchase the bundle you will get to save 15%.
One of the fun things about this technique is that you can add as many colours as you would like to the shaving foam but for this card I decided to just stick with two colours. I started by spreading out the shaving foam on a plastic plate, added some drops of re-inker and then mixed them to create the pattern using the end of the stylus. Now you put your piece of card on top of the foam, lightly press down and then wipe the foam off. If you are not happy with the pattern you can always pop the piece of card back on the foam again to pick up a little more ink. Adding some Wink of Stella and adhering the balloons using dimensionals and glue dots gave the card a little dimension and sparkle.
and lastly this is what the inside of the card looks like 🙂
Now it’s time to pop on over and see what the rest of the design team have come up with, let’s start by looking at the gorgeous card Amy Koenders has come up with this month.
