Hi everyone, for this week’s Stamping and Blogging Sketch Challenge I decided to use the Painted Petals stamp set and Mini Treat Bag thinlits dies. Here is my card for SB101.
When I first saw the Mini Treat Bag thinlits dies, I thought it would be ideal for making a little gift voucher holder. I am keeping everything crossed that these dies make it into the new catalogue, they are just so versatile. Anyway let’s get back to talking about the card, I wanted the words on the insert to stand out and the flowers to be nice and subtle so all I did was stamp off the flower image before stamping to create a lighter shade. Here is a photo of the little insert that you put your gift card in.
Since I did not have a gift card to slip into the insert I have used one of my other cards to give you an idea on the size of the insert. Maybe I should try and convince hubby to buy me a gift card for demonstration purposes lol, after all a girl HAS to shop, right. Anyway here’s what it would look like with a gift card.
I love the little “for you” word die so naturally could not resist using it, do you like how I have raised the word?
I am loving the little handheld stapler and thick bakers twine, and they worked in perfectly for the type of look I was after.
Here is a photo of this week’s sketch that I designed my card from.
I can’t wait to see what the rest of the design team have come up with this week, let’s take a look, you can do that by clicking on the links below.
