Hi everyone, this month we are focusing on the Monochromatic technique (meaning tone on tone). Make sure you check out what the rest of the design team have come up with this month, I know that will have some fabulous ideas for you.
The colour I have decided to use today is one of the new in-colours called Dapper Denim and I have created the different shades by stamping some of the images off first.
The Picture Perfect set is a 2-step stamping set (meaning you layer the images on top of each other) You can use multiple different coloured inks or the same colour but just stamp the image on scrap first before stamping to create a lighter shade. I used the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to highlight some areas of the bird to bring it to life a little (you can’t really see it in the photo but it is there lol).
After stamping the saying I scrunched up a piece of glad wrap (cling wrap) into a small ball and then pressed it onto the ink pad to pick up a small amount of ink. I then lightly tapped it onto the card a few times (without reinking) to create the background pattern around the base of the card.
