Hi everyone, for this week’s share I have used one of my daughter’s favourite stamp sets, it’s called Hey Girl, I have to admit I think it is pretty darn cute too. Here is my card for SB117.
Creating the two-toned effect on the background was super easy to do, all I did was swipe the ink pad across the Color Me Irresistable Designer Series Paper starting with the lightest colour first. I wiped off the excess ink using a handy towel and then swiped the second color ink pad over the top and then wiped the excess ink off again. You can control how much color you apply by the angle you hold the ink pad. I finished the background card off by sponging black around the edges.
I love Shimmery White card stock, it has a beautiful glittery shimmery look, it is so pretty. One of the other things I love about it is it is a great alternative for water colouring on.
and yes I did stamp the inside too 🙂
Quick video showing you how I coloured the background card using inkpads.
Here is the photo of this week’s sketch challenge that I designed my card from. You can join in the fun, make a card and share it with us, for more information go to Sketch and Blog Challenge.
