Giggle Greetings Card for SB83

Hi everyone, this week sketch challenge was to make a Swing Card.  I have used the cute little dog image from the Giggle Greetings stamp set, because I wanted a fun image and the little dog is just so darn cute.  I don’t know about you but I love moving cards so I had a great time making the card for this weeks Stamping and Blogging Sketch Challenge. Here is my card for SB83.

I masked part of the stamp so that I only inked the image and a portion of the saying.  I coloured the image in using the Blendabilities and then clear embossed over the entire image.

I wanted some extra room for writing on the inside of the card so I made the card longer, this is what it looks like when the card is fully opened.

I then masked part of the stamp again so that I only inked the image and the other portion of the saying.  Since the rest of the saying said “or your tail or whatever…” I thought it would be fun to highlight the tail so I did this by using the spotlight technique and I turned it into a magnifying glass.

Since the inside looked a bit plain I decided to stamp a reverse image of the dog and I did this by stamping on a wide piece of low tack masking tape and then transferred the image by sticking the tape on the card and lightly rubbing it before removing the tape.
