Hi everyone, if you have not already guessed Get Your Santa On is one of my favourite stamp sets from the Holiday Catalogue. It has so many really cute little images in it. I decided this stamp set would be ideal for using in this weeks Stamping and Blogging Sketch Challenge. Here is my card for SB77.
I created the background using low tack masking tape. I inked the tape up on the inkpad and then placed it gently on the card, removed the tape and then placed it beside the inked strip on the card again (without reinking) to create a lighter shade. It is such a quick and easy technique to do, but still effective. I used the Cherry Cobbler and Smokey Slate Blendabilities to colour the santa suit. I added a silver mini brad and a little glitter to finish the card of.
Here is a photo of this weeks sketch that I designed my card from.
Now it’s time to pop on over and visit the other ladies on the design team and see what they have come up with week.
