Hi stampers, it’s time for another Dream Theme Blog Hop and this month it is all about Easter. It is one of my daughters favourite times of the year lol, yes like a lot of other children she LOVES chocolate.
The project I worked on today is going to be a gift for my daughter, she is my shadow when it comes to crafting so I know she will appreciate the extra special packaging 🙂 The stamp set I have used today is called Basket Bunch 🙂 the great news about this set is that it is available as a bundle, which means you get to save money when you purchase the stamps and dies together.
The Basket Bunch stamp set is just so stinkin cute and ideal for teaming up with the cute little egg carton (also available to purchase thru Stampin’ Up!).
I stamped and sponged the grass and sky and coloured all the other images in using the Watercolor Pencils. I wanted a little extra dimension so I shaped the images and adhered them using a dimensional in the centre and glue dots around the edges.
I added colour to the box by spritzing it using a combination of Isopropyl Alcohol and Reinkers. The Isopropyl Alcohol dries quicker than water 😉 and if you are impatient like me you can also give it a helping hand to dry by using the heat tool. I allowed the box to dry and then screwed up some plastic, picked up some colour from the inkpad and tapped it over the top portion of the box to give it a speckled look. I then cut up strips of paper using the Fringe Scissors, spritzed them, allowed them to dry and popped them in the inside of the carton under the eggs.
