I must admit one of my favourite times of the year is Christmas, for 3 reasons.  I love watching the excitement on our daughters face when Christmas morning finally arrives.  I love spending time with family and last but not least I love making Christmas cards 🙂 so today I am going to share 2 cards with you.   The first one is using the Santa’s Sleigh Bundle and was a little more time consuming to make.

I started by sponging the background to create an Ombre effect using Soft Sky, Marina Mist, Dapper Denim and Night of Navy inks.  I put the card aside to make sure it was completely dry and then stamped the little splatters using Whisper White Craft ink to make it look like it is snowing (brrrr makes me cold even looking at it lol).  Now on to telling you a little about the reindeer, After stamping the image using Soft Suede ink I then sponged over the top using Crumb Cake and Soft Suede ink.  It looked a little too brown so I added a touch of White Craft ink to its belly.  I could not resist turning the reindeer into Rudolph so I punched out a little circle and popped it on his nose.

I cut the sleigh out of Cherry Cobbler card and then coloured the lower portion in using a black marker.  Then it was a case of adhering the intricate die on top (Gold Foil) and popping a few presents inside.

I kept the inside nice and simple by adding a tree for Santa to put the presents under.

Now for the quick and easy card I have used the Merriest Wishes Bundle and Star of Light stamps.

The most time consuming part was making the Christmas decoration, the rest of it was a 2 minute wonder.  Die cut the Christmas decoration, star and pot using the same die.  You will also need to punch a 1-3/4″  green circle.  Turn the decoration over and adhere a full dimensional to each side and a 1/2 dimensional over the star and pot holes.  When you turn the decoration back over the star and pot will adhere to the 1/2 dimensional.  Turn decoration over again (so it is facing down) and adhere green circle on top.

Once again I kept the inside nice and simple.

Beautiful projects Patrice! I love that sleigh filled with gifts and the little Rudolph leading the way. And your tag is just perfect too! 🙂
