Butterfly Basics is one of my favourite stamps sets in the latest Occasions Catalogue. It has such a wide variety of gorgeous stamps so I could not resist using it for this weeks Stamping and Blogging Sketch Challenge. Here is my card for SB89
I wanted to create something a little different so I turned the bottom of the tag into a pot. I did this by dry embossing the lower part of the tag using the Spring Flower Embossing Folder. I then brayered over the top lightly in black to create a two toned effect. I then embossed the entire pot with clear embossing powder to make it glossy.
I then stamped the flowers in the pot and coloured them in using the latest Blendabilities colours. I love how easy it is to blend the colours together to create such a wonderful look. I also used the long edge stamp and stamped multiple down the page to create a fun background effect on the card.
I painted Dazzling Details on the flowers to bring them to life a bit, i love the sparkly effect as it brings the flower to life. I also added a few Pearls for the finishing touches.
Here is a photo of this weeks sketch that I designed my card from.
