Birthday Blog Hop #DT09

Hi everyone, it’s time for another Dream Theme Blog Hop and this month we are focusing on a Birthday theme.  I don’t know about you but I love being able to spoil the ones love on their special day, I think there is no better way to start their day off than with a handmade card.
DT-DreamTheme-DT2The project I am sharing with you today is using the Sweet Cupcake stamp set, I know it is not one of the new sets but I love it just the same.

One of the things I have been hanging out to play with in the new catalogue is the Embossing Paste 🙂 Rather than using stencils with the paste I decided to make the icing for the cupcake instead.  It was easy to chance the colour, I just added a couple of drops of re-inker to the paste, gave it a quick mix and then spread it on the cupcake.  I wanted to add some extra sparkle so I sprinkled a little Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on top of the icing while it was still wet.  Don’t you just love the extra dimension the paste creates?

Now for the yummy part lol, I brought a cupcake from the Cakebox (they really do make the most delicious cakes) and it came in the cutest little box, so I could not resist making a matching little gift tag for it.

Hmmmmm doesn’t the cupcake look devine 🙂 shame I will not be getting it, my daughter already has her eyes on it lol.
