Be the Star Card for SB85

Hi everyone, for this weeks Stamping and Blogging sketch challenge I decided to use the Be the Star stamp set and All Is Calm Designer Washi Tape.  Here is my card for SB85.
Be the Star card by Patrice
I cut small strips of white card to create the little banners before adhering the Washi Tape, rather than just layering the tape on top of each other.  I silver heat embossed the star, sponged Soft Sky ink over the top and then coloured in part of the star using the Lost Lagoon marker.  It needed a little bling so I added some mini brads and punched out a small star from the Silver Glimmer paper for the center of the star.  I finished the card off by paper piercing a slightly larger star and popped the embossed star up on dimensionals.  It is a nice, quick and easy but fun card to make.

Love the way you paper pierced around the star. This gives it a beautiful extra touch.
The embossing makes it even more special.
